This dome was fabricated from composites, stainless and glass

It was originally built in the 1950s from fibre glass, but had deteriorated too much for us to even take molds of it. The entire geometry had to be recreated from scratch, a plug of 1/12 was used for a mold and then 12 pieces pulled from that

We've installed the new dome on it's house in May 2008. The project is still going on with cosmetic touches waiting till major construction work on the site has concluded
