Why Permanent Cricket Sight Screens ? We know Cricket is here to stay and for Australia to stay a Cricket super-power we've got to have great cricket facilities for many generations. Cricket Sight Screens are a necessity for quality Cricket. Sight Screens should last for decades, still going strong when several purchases of light-weight, old English designed sight screens ended up dead end expenses (gone to the tip) Investment not Expense We think of Cricket Sight Screens as capital investments into our Parks, Ovals & Future Cricket Talent, not expenses. Capital investments can be funded by Government, Sports & Recreationial bodies, whilst expenses would normally come out of the Clubs' coffers. Government Capital Assistance Funding & Support All previous Aussie Tough Cricket Sight Screen installations were funded between Local Council and State Government (usually Sport & Recreation). These installations improve safety and park infrastructure so the public receives more than just improved cricket facilities. Cricket Clubs just need to lobby their Local Government / Council, provide Oval specific advice and support. We've listed some of the government funding & grants programs. It's very important to know the closing date for applications, missing it means waiting for another year. [check application deadlines now] Self-Install or Turn-Key Installations
Wherever possible we use local fabricators & installers working under license with Polytech to provide the Aussie Tough Sight Screen systems at the lowest price possible anywhere in Australia. We usually manage the installation from beginning to end To make Aussie Tough Sight Screens more affordable to more clubs & councils in Australia we also designed them for Self-Install which saves a lot of money. The kits come with an easy to follow installation manual and can be installed by any local council that has work crews doing the odd bit of concreting (i.e. boom-gates, signs, park installations etc). Another option is of course to harness club members & sponsors know-how & resources to do the installation if local council can't do it alone.
